Packages vs. Ala carte

With 18 years of experience servicing wedding clients in the Pittsburgh area, Jim McCullough has adopted a simple, comprehensive approach to pricing his products and service.

In the past, the ‘package’ approach was popular. A client selected a ‘package’ that included photography and a certain sized large album and two parent albums and an engagement session and a framed wall portrait and it cost this much.

But what if you don’t want two parent albums? What if you only need one? Or you don’t need any? Or you don’t necessarily want a wall portrait or engagement session? While these items are all wonderful items, not all couples want the same things.

And, 10 years ago the choices were fairly simple. With the advent of digital technology and the internet, the items now available have far surpassed simple ‘packaged’ arrangements.

This is why Jim adopted the ala carte pricing system and never looked back. It has given his clients the freedom to purchase whatever items they would like, and not be forced to take what they don’t need.

The fee for photography service for any wedding date is $1195. This provides six hours of James McCullough’s cutting-edge, artistic wedding photography service. This service includes wedding photography consultations before and after the wedding, additional lighting at the wedding(as necessary), and a WebCD/DVD to view images.

Once you view all of your images, you will certainly want to show them off!

Additional purchases are made from the ala carte price schedule of products. There is no minimum purchase. Clients can order whatever they like, without restrictions or red tape.

Jim does offer ‘custom packaging’, based on his clients needs. If a client pre-orders items before their wedding, he will bundle the items and discount them up to 20% !!!
